Out of the Depths

Note: Currently in Alpha.

This is a horror game inspired by SCP-087. It is not within the SCP lore, but is it's own IP with its own story. It is also not a simple walking simulator. There are trials within that will test your cognitive skills. It is also procedurally generated, you may not experience all possible encounters in a single playthrough.

16+ This game is not for the faint of heart. There is dark theming within and the occasional jump-scare. If you believe this game might negatively affect you, then do not play!

Alpha / Early Access:
Endings have been added as well as a new mechanic to collect tome pages. I still need to work on a few things, but it is now completable! On the off chance you encounter an invisible wall, or start falling through the floor, please let me know.

Goals:
This project was created entirely using free assets as an exploration of what can be accomplished on a limited budget (or in this case, no budget). All the models and textures (aside from very simple shapes, such as the pentagram) came from modifying existing free assets. I used only free software including Blender, RealWorld Paint, Krita and Notepad++.
I've been meaning to create a horror game for a while and I am happy with this project as my first attempt.
That said, this is only a pet project; you will probably find it a little rough around the edges.
