Out of the Depths

Now fully released! Explore a procedurally generated environment and uncover the dark plot that has you trapped and descending into the depths! Can you get out? (Loosely inspired by SCP-087).

There are many unique encounters, some of them dangerous. Hints are mostly cryptic. You will have to learn through trial and error and intuition, though there are collectable tome sheets should you struggle. Due to the nature of procedural generation, you may not experience all encounters in a single playthrough.

16+ This game is not for the faint of heart. There is a dark theme within and the occasional jump-scare. If you believe this game might negatively affect you, then do not play!

Goals:
This project was created entirely using free assets to explore how far you can push a limited budget (or in this case, no budget). I used only free software including Blender, RealWorld Paint, Krita and Notepad++.
I've been meaning to create a horror game for a while and I am happy with this smaller project as my first attempt.
